This was a party for Cpl Leonard Turner. He is a WWII veteran and just turned 103.
Community Outreach
Veteran Support
We organize monthly meetups and provide resources to help Veterans reconnect and find support within the community. We provide food and necessities to the VA Pantry, which provides these services for Veterans who need assistance.
Community Parades
We participate in parades, such as the Veterans Day Parade, the Saint Patrick’s Day Parade, and Stand Up for America Parade.
Memorial Events
On November 11th of each year, we hold a ceremony at the Marine Corps Monument at Forsythe Park. During this ceremony we read the names of all fallen Marines from Chatham County who dies in combat.
Fundraising Drives
Detachment 564 had the pleasure of installing a new flag pole with the American and Marine Corps flag. Your donations make this possible.
Our fundraising events support veterans’ causes and community projects throughout the year.
